PRESIDENT IDRISS DEBY RECEIVES TOP AWARD

Swearing in ceremony of President Idriss Deby Itno of Chad… | FlickrThe president of Chad H.E. Idriss Déby Itno has become the latest high profile to receive the prestigious Humanity Award for his outstanding leadership in promotion of good governance and the fight against terrorism.
The Humanity Award, an initiative of Humanity Magazine International, is routinely conferred on individuals who have distinguished themselves in public and private spheres of life.
President Deby’s fight against terrorism is being celebrated as a beacon of hope for terrorism free Africa, a special case study across institutions of higher learning for promotion of peace across the continent.
The CEO of Humanity Magazine International, Mr. Yahaya Alhassan, considers Chad   to be Ghana’s friend and neighbor. And works of their leader    deserves commendation for building on the foundations for a better Africa.
The Humanity Magazine International campaigns for humanitarian endeavors, international relations, security and business development among African countries to create employment opportunities for the youth.
The Magazine also aims at promoting quality leadership by recognizing the achievements of managers of public and private institutions, to serve as shining examples for other managers to emulate.
A citation accompanying the award reads “this is in recognition for your enviable but selfless reputation for the continues fight against terrorism across the world and promotion of good governance ‘’
His Excellency’s direct action has not only led for the psychological and direct victory against Boko Haram but has protect the region, particularly the vulnerable segment of the populace, including foreign interests.’’
It further reads “ . You have cherished and campaigned for the unity of Africa, May Allah Enrich you with health and Happiness, Amen ’’.

President Déby was born into a family of the Zaghawa ethnic group in the Ennedi region of northeastern Chad. He went to France in 1976 to receive additional training at a flight school and earned a pilot’s license. A national conference was held in 1993 to establish a transitional government, and Déby was officially designated interim president.
In 1996 a new constitution was approved, and Déby was elected president in the first multiparty presidential elections held in Chad’s history
Idriss Déby Itno ,  successfully won elections in  2001 and 2006, and  won again in 2011, and 2016. He is credited for Strengthening the stability and democracy of Chad.
